What Other Lifestyle Clients Are Saying…
Ultimately, trading is about making profits. And for our Lifestyle Traders, it’s also about taking time to enjoy your lifestyle.
Here’s just a sample of the many emails and letters we get all the time from live trading clients. All of these have been taken from emails and letters we have on record.
I’ve also included some from traders who aren’t going so well, as I know you wouldn’t believe me if all the comments were all rosy.
Enjoy,

I joined Fast Track last year in July. My live account currently stands at just over $42,000 from a starting balance of $20,000 just 10 months ago. |
Just a quick update to let you know that my first month of live trading is complete. With just over a week to go, I was down 13.28% (my max drawdown for the month), but thanks to a couple of late handy trades (yay wheat!!) I finished up 7.43% – after being up just over 10% the day before. The 2.5% drop was due to the wheat price correction, but I still locked in a good profit on that one. So, I am feeling pretty good because I took ALL trades without really questioning it – even if I have taken SIX CHF (commodities) trades, which have ALL lost, representing over 10% of my account. Thank goodness for the others that somehow made up for it. Still, I’ll keep on taking the CHF… OK, so I broke one rule – but it was by accident I promise! But more about that when I see you next. |
Yes we took the plunge, Monday, lost a few at the start but as this week progresses and with the Bank holiday looming we have tightened up all our stops to reflect the ATR movement suggested. This will protect our profits that we have gained so far, and overall up $1300 approx. Just need that to multiply by 4 and we have then covered our next months bills. |
I have already gone live with commodities and have attended the Advanced training in Gold Coast last week. I was trading options for more than 3 months so I felt confident with the commodities and the platform. Well I am up 20% in the last 3 weeks and think the commodities are the best thing since sliced bread. During that time I have had a couple of rough rides and have left money on the table due to cutting profits short (I am working on this psychological problem) but the successes have outweighed the roughies. |
Hope this finds you both well, invigorated & trading successfully; Helen & I arrive in London on May 12th and depart on June 22nd. During our stay we would like to attend a traders club meeting, please forward where and at what time, for tax deduction reasons, and to catch up with you both. We are both well, & my trading is going excellently, lifted our a/c by more than 40% in 3 months. |
I have had a good productive start to live trading Grains, Softs and Metals. I closed out all my trades after 4 weeks and increased my account from $50,000 to $69,500. I then went on a 4-day canoeing holiday with my son. I have started again now and want to ask you what further basket or baskets of Commodities you would suggest to start paper trading to bring further profitability and diversification into my Coms trading? Many thanks for your help through the training process. |
Thanks for your time at the Traders Club on Friday night. I especially want to thank you for the way you explained how to use the S&R. I have seen many traders (including myself) learn S&R and fly off half cocked and try to change their trading plan immediately. Newer traders seem hell bent on proving the signals wrong by using S&R to decide whether to enter a trade or not. I have also heard of others entering against the signals because of what S&R was ‘telling’ them! Being a buddy group leader I have often see traders wanting to become experts at everything before doing anything and ultimately suffering from ‘Paralysis of analysis’. These are the reasons I brought up the things I did and congratulate you for the great responses. I feel traders left with confidence in the basics but knowing that S&R is an additional tool they can use (after testing) to define stops, not to decide entries. |
I am well, thank you for your support, the last couple of days have been really good, I am trading commodities, all of the grains, livestock, most of the softs, and have started trading the currencies (Aussie & Canadian, a few trades on British (no good) I have increased my account from 30k to 48k since going live in March, I also attended the MPowered weekend in May which I found to be very helpful, I started with 10k which quickly went to 3k, so I then deposited 20k and this has increased to 48k allowing me to trade more commodities within my risk of 5%, so all is going ok for now. |
My trading however not as good as i would like it to be just can’t seem to hang on to the dollars once made I’m trading forex and mainly the grains in commodities my account is only small and there fore underfunded i guess for what I’m trying to do, tight stops are not helping, getting stopped out pretty regularly in saying that when i get the courage up to go with the wider stops i still get stopped out and loose bigger chunks of my acc , I think i may have to give options more attention for future trading we have just purchased the ETF program so the plan is once my trading improves i can stick some bucks into them, i am encouraged though when you read books like market wizards and the turtles and they can start with 3,000 dollars and turn them into millions in ten to fifteen years also they have had some bumpy rides along the way . I also get a lot from Scott’s daily emails, really good encouraging stuff really helping with my trading mindset . Even though my trading isn’t producing any income i still feel successful in a sense that i am still trading and my emotions towards the winning and loosing are much more in control than they used to be when i first started hopefully the head full of stuff that i have accumulated will eventually pay of . Also i know for a fact that i wouldn’t be were i am now with my trading without Lifestyle trader so i feel fast tracked i guess any way that’s my bable for the day hope all you guys are good up there. |
In my own personnel situation, I had deferred membership for 6 months and are due to return to paper trading (simulator) next month, so I have been pretty much out of the loop for some time now. I realise from your email that Cairns is not getting the numbers to host a Traders Club but all of us that were there last night got so much out of the evening and took home some renewed confidence to move forward towards our goals. Martin’s level of dedication to each and every issue that we presented is to be commended, explaining every aspect clearly until we all understood, not to mention staying on past the designated time to make sure we had covered everything that was of concern for us. My personnel gain from the meeting was my renewed interest in Options. When I started with LT I thought that was the way to go but got very despondent when most of the choices I made with the stocks were either nonstandard or not suitable for one reason or another and I eventually lost interest and put Options in the “too hard basket”™. The revamped Option scanner certainly looks more user friendly and with the improvements with the new LT Database, I just can’t wait to get back in! I, personally also gained from listening to Darryl, of which reinforced the fact that the LT software does work and all of us just need to a find a strategy that works for us. Lastly, I am impressed with how LT is constantly improving the software and giving us exposure to new trading options such as ETF’s of which I aim to find out more about. |
I went Live end of April 2010 and was able to double my bank in a space of about a month trading Forex, Gold & Silver (mind you my starting bank was only $5k). I’ve had to scale back my trading over the last month due to my full time work but am in one trade (USDJPY), which is currently 151 pips up (this is where I’ve managed to move my stop loss to). It’s been an interesting journey from simulated trading to LIVE trading. My first 4 LIVE trades only 1 was a winning trade, my next 21 trades, I only had 5 losing trades and it was a great feeling. One thing I’ve learnt is not to look at the $ value of the profit or loss but work it based on number of pip movement – this has worked better for me in terms of mindset especially when you are only starting off with a very small bank, and you are trading mini or micro lots. My next thing is to start looking at the ETFs. It’s currently too hard for me to trade shares or options and most of the other commodities because of where I currently work – my J.O.B. (approval is required for every trade before I place an order). So my partner is looking at that side of it. Cannot wait until the day when I won’t have this issue anymore. Looking forward to working with you guys. |
I’m a trader in Adelaide who meets regularly with a small trading group who have all gone through ARLT training. We enjoy your daily e-mails, especially yesterdays: dated Mon, 8 March. What we particularly liked about this one was you going through various specific commodity trades with general comments in a nut-shell and what to potentially look out for. If this specific trade commentary could become a regular part in your daily e-mail letters that would be much appreciated by a number of us. Thank you for all your work. |
I certainly appreciate the fact that you go to a lot of trouble to put the Traders Clubs together and by no means do I assume I know enough not to attend. I hope you realise that for us to attend we have to travel to a major town, stay the night and sometimes take a day off our “day jobs”. Whilst this should not be too big a problem to some, for us it is a big challenge and the cost is way above what we can justify at the moment. It’s a roundabout – learn to trade – make money-be able to afford the luxury of attending all the events available to learn to trade. What would be good is a means of connecting with people who have attended several workshops, seminars, Traders Club meetings, and have actually mastered the art of keeping it all together to trade when ready. |
Just a little feedback regarding the Traders Club in Cairns last night. In my own personal situation, I had deferred my data feed for 6 months and am due to return to paper trading (simulator) next month, so I have been pretty much out of the loop for some time now. I realise from your email that Cairns is not getting the numbers to host a Traders Club, but all of us that were there last night got so much out of the evening and took home some renewed confidence to move forward towards our goals. Martin’s level of dedication to each and every issue that we presented is to be commended, explaining every aspect clearly until we all understood, not to mention staying on past the designated time to make sure we had covered everything that was of concern for us. When I started with LT I thought that was the way to go, but got very despondent when most of the choices I made with the stocks were either non-standard or not suitable for one reason or another and I eventually lost interest and put Options in the ‘too hard basket’. The revamped Option scanner certainly looks more user friendly and with the improvements with the new LT 9 Database, I just can’t wait to get back in! |
corporate life last year and was looking for something that would appeal to my desire to take responsibility for my money…and this was it! The little I knew about trading was as part of one of my jobs where, as a PA to the CFO, I had to monitor the price of stocks and shares of a pension fund run by the owners of the company. That wasn’t a major thing in itself apart from I was monitoring it during the crash of the late 80s….wow what happened to the value of the fund in a day was incredible! It’s not really something you forget! So when I heard about Aussie Rob’s home study course it really appealed. I can’t say it was an easy decision to purchase the package because I was pretty broke…but once I had done enough research to understand how much value I was getting for my money I was confident I’d made the right choice. I have not looked back for one moment and regretted that decision…not for a second. Since my journey started I have been supported and encouraged every time I have needed it. My ultimate goal with the lifestyle trader is to be able to live my life the way I want to and to be able to show my boys that if they want to, they too, will be able to take responsibility for their own money, lifestyle and happiness…then I will have done my job as a mum to the best of my ability! This time next year I will start showing them how to trade….watch this space!! |
Thought you might be interested in hearing of some exceptional customer service provided by one of your team. My old man is using LT with me and he rang Ryan for some help in customer service – he reckons if Telstra and everyone else could take lessons from |
Dear Martin & Gavin, I must apologize for not thanking you both publicly at the conclusion of the meeting. It was a most informative evening you gave us. You covered just so much and on behalf of the 13 of us there ‘Thank you’. I’m quite sure we all went home having learnt something new, and we’ve been encouraged. You put a lot into the preparation of last night, cramming so much into the few hours we had. Obviously we didn’t want to leave as questions kept being asked. I thought for a moment you might not get away till midnight – perhaps you didn’t! Certainly we all appreciated the time you gave us very much. I also apologize for the very poor turn out. 15 you said was the minimum. I do hope you will give us another chance and come back up to Toowoomba again. We really do need your authoritative teaching, input & encouragement. Some of the people who attended last night had travelled a considerable distance to be there & I know they benefited greatly. We really do look forward to the next visit and I have no doubt that there will be a very good roll-up. Many thanks again.

Comments about our Training Programs
Thank you for this information – it is appreciated. You did an amazing job over the weekend. Is it also possible to get an email version of the Manual that we used in training over the weekend. Rubber Side Up |
I have attended many training courses over the years for many different industries, it was a pleasure participating in the introductory course over the weekend, it flowed and you didn’t allow the class to bog down with stupid questions, you simplified the material for all attending and especially those not quite up to speed on the complete package. Your skills at delivering a course are better than most I’ve seen – Cheers |
Thank you so much for a fantastic weekend…My brain is still spinning a million miles an hour… It was brilliant, Thank you!! |
I am just home from the most amazing weekend in Christchurch attending the intermediate course run by Omar. I am really pleased I attended this event, for me it was almost perfect timing:
I wanted to make sure the team on the gold coast know how much I (and I am sure the other attendees) appreciate the course being bought over the ditch to NZ and how impressed we all are with Omar. He is very knowledgeable, caring, sharing, patient, inspiring and professional – he ensured all our individual questions were answered and that we all got we needed from the weekend – a huge feat! So THANK YOU to all those who made this event possible….And.I really hope we can have an advanced over here towards the end of the year. |
I would very much to express my appreciation for the assistance and support I have received from Mike Sarich and Matthew Harley in NZ. I have had some computer and software problems and the many HELP phonecalls with these guys have been phenomenal and encouraging to get trading systems up-and-running. They have displayed patience and support whilst walking me through the problems I have encountered. Recently we have developed a traders club in Christchurch and have regular attendances where Mike and Matt have given encouraging explanations and info to members questions. I’m sure all the club members would whole-heartedly agree they are top guys looking after our interests. |
We thought it important to report our gratitude and admiration for Martin and co who presented such a great night in Cairns for the Members Club. It is so important that we are able to ask questions and get sensible answers immediately. We learnt a lot on the night and Martin was so generous with his time and patience. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he is a great asset to your team. We look forward to the next visit. |
It is great to receive your email. Your upcoming plans sounds remarkable, I am looking forward to learning and seeing the progress. My Mom came to visit in May for 6 weeks and ended up being here for almost 3 months as she had a major heart attack and quadruple by-pass surgery and then another heart attack. It was a stressful time for awhile. I have been able to be on Omar’s trainings lately and am beginning to study with more dedication now that most of the major stress has been alleviated. Omar does such a magnificent job in training and Tammy is such a sweet heart to deal with. You have a great team here. Thank you. I will be contacting you soon. Thank you for everything and have a beautiful week, |
I have been simulating for ages and did go live for several months (although I have been taking a rest from live trading due to a few bad trades going against me). I found the Advanced Training so informative, I am in the process or rewriting my strategy in line with what I have learnt at the Advanced. I will then simulate for a few months until I am positive it is succeeding. Probably the biggest learning curve was the section on MPowered and understanding my personal profile and how this was affecting my trading. The session by Scott was a revelation, opening my mind as to why I traded the way I did and the steps required to adjust my strategy to “fit in” with my mindset. |
Just wanted to give some feedback on our first fast track training session. After being involved for 12 months and being live for 5 months, we enlisted in the fast track program to see if we could get some return on investment and also some specialised coaching. WOW, we have just had our first night and the info that we have been given, is amazing. This gives renewed enthusiasm to our trading, we also have a clear vision of what we can achieve, we now also see how easy it is. We learnt so much in the first 2 hours we were with our coach, good valuable information that only an experienced trader can give. Great tricks of the trade and little security checks that protect your investment. I can fully endorse the fast track program, it is well worth the money we have invested already and it is great to be able to spend time with successful traders who give time, encouragement and guidance. |
Hi just a quick email to thank Nigel and Lee for their recent Real Time course held in Sydney, they were extremely knowledgeable and willing to help with any questions that were asked. I feel like I got a lot of great information out of this course because of the way it was taught, it wasn’t just a heap of information thrown at you, which is a credit to Nigel and Lee. Thanks. Thanks. |
I wanted to personally write to you both to thank you for all your instruction and help at the recent trading courses that made them such wonderful events. Your content and delivery was clear, concise and enthusiastic and it was a pleasure to listen to and absorb. It was really refreshing to note the effort you made in ensuring the attendee’s questions were answered – even if some of us are Arsenal supporters. In addition I appreciated your candid approach in relating to us how you personally trade. ie a adventurer/ strategist etc. (Possibly why I enjoyed it so much!) Thanks for taking the time to answer a few specifics. There was a lot of information presented at the course and all of the presenters obviously have a wealth of knowledge that was effectively imparted to us. I’ll leave you with an alternate take on Kipling’s famous line ……..”If you you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs ….then it’s time to reassess your trade and figure out what everyone else knows that YOU don’t !!! “ |
The day by day updates are comprehensive, well explained and certainly are very important in helping me to establish or alter my strategy while i am paper trading. Question: Do you suggest any bibliography to read for a better understanding of charts and economy in general. Thank you Scott… keep the job up guys …. |
Omar, Just a quick email to say thanks for the 2 day intermediate workshop on the Gold Coast these past few days. I, and others, thought it was conducted very professionally and got a lot out of it. The content was clear and precise, not to mention educational, and I firmly believe that it will enhance my (and others) quality of trading. Well done..

Hi Matthew, The bootcamp was brilliant. I went over to the Gold Coast and it was well worth the trip. It wasn’t specifically aimed at traders although Mia made lots of references to ARLT. It was more of a personal development/self-awareness thing, figuring out what your blocks are, what your panic buttons are and working through them. The biggest block I found was not being really clear about why I wanted to make lots of money trading, but another person doing the workshop recommended a book called The Passion Test, which is a really quick way to figure out what you really want. And it’s all uphill from there. I had been paper trading for about 6 months, but couldn’t figure out how I was going to fit Forex trading into my work day with meetings and trips out of town etc. After the workshop I finished the go-live course and I started live trading on the 5th of November. And now I’m into it. A couple of wins, a couple of losses (because a trade went backwards before it started to run in the direction of the signal and I panicked and pulled even though it hadn’t reached my stop level). But overall I’m in the black. My PA at work is fascinated. She comes in every morning at 11.15 to get the daily update!!
|
Thanks Murray/Scott, I really appreciate the time and effort you both put in to the webinar on Tuesday night. ARLT/LIS/Lifestyle Assets – so many entities involved!! – It is certainly scorching ahead in leaps and bounds and I am amazed with your dedication to innovation and progress. Your entire organisation appears driven by what can next be achieved to gain better results for us all as traders and investors. Visionary and stunning! Every single contact I have experienced within your business has been positive to date. And, I can’t believe the new technology that you guys keep presenting us with! I actually asked Lee Hearsey (at the recent Albury Traders Club) if Assist will be legal!…..it’s that good! The IB Platform is still way too complex for me to feel confident about trading live Commodities and Forex with, but Trade Now (Options/ETFs) is a great service that I will continue to use. You guys definitely change lives. Love your work.
